Dear Neighbors:
Please be aware that there will be increased traffic in our area due to high school graduations taking place at the Comcast Center (located on the University of Maryland campus) this week - June 1-5, 2009. Pasted below is an excerpt of a memo sent out to the University of Maryland Campus Community.

FROM: Patrick Perfetto, Director, Conferences & Visitor Services
SUBJECT: High School Commencements, June 1-5, Comcast Center
Once again, 12 Prince George’s County high schools, and 3 Montgomery County high schools will be holding their commencement ceremonies in the Comcast Center. The ceremonies will take place from June 1 through June 5.
. . . . You should anticipate heavy traffic approaching the Campus Drive and Paint Branch Drive entrances to campus. Incoming traffic prior to each ceremony, and departing traffic following each ceremony, will be particularly heavy. Ceremony times are 9-11 am, 1-3 pm, and 5:30 (5 pm on Wednesday)-7:30 pm.
Also note the construction activity on Route 1 will further delay traffic. You are urged to consider alternate routes to campus which include Adelphi Road, Paint Branch Parkway, and Route 193 Eastbound. . . .
