CITY OF COLLEGE PARK CONTRACT POLICE SERVICE

May 28 – June 10, 2010

5/28 Contract officers responded to the report of a Breaking and Entering in progress at 9700 block 51st Place.  Verified-Suspects fled from the rear of the residence.  Neighborhood canvass conducted with negative results.

5/29 Contract officer observed an individual drinking a beer at Greenbelt Road at Rhode Island Ave.   A criminal citation in lieu of arrest was issued.

5/29 Contract officer conducted a traffic assignment (Stop Sign Enforcement) at Calvert Road at Princeton Ave.  5 warning citations were issued

5/29 Contract officer conducted bicycle patrol in areas not accessible by cruiser (bike paths, Metro Centers, etc) in Districts 1, 2, 3, and 4.

5/29 Contract officers responded along with code enforcement officer for loud parties throughout the city.

5/30 Contract officers responded to the report of a Citizen Strong Arm Robbery at 9000 block Davidson Street.  Verified-Extensive search was conducted with negative results.

5/31 Contract officer conducted bicycle patrol in areas not accessible by cruiser (bike paths, Metro Centers, etc) in Districts 1, 2, 3, and 4.

6/1 Contract officer conducted a traffic assignment (Stop Sign Enforcement) at Saint Andrews Place at Duke Street.  5 citations were issued

6/1 Contract officer conducted a traffic assignment (Stop Sign Enforcement) at Greenbelt Road at Rhode Island Ave.  5 citations were issued

6/2 Contract officer conducted a traffic assignment (Speed Enforcement) in the 9000 block of Baltimore Ave.  4 warning citations were issued

6/2 Contract officer conducted a traffic assignment (Stop Sign Enforcement) at Old Calvert Road at Edmonston Road.  3 citations were issued

6/2 Contract officer conducted bicycle patrol in areas not accessible by cruiser (bike paths, Metro Centers, etc) in Districts 1, 2, 3, and 4.

6/3 In response to a traffic complaint the Contract officer issued 3 traffic citations for traveling the wrong way on a one way street at Metzerott Road at Baltimore Ave.

6/3 Contract officer on routine patrol observed a suspicious person in the 9500 block of Baltimore Ave.  A field interview was conducted and he was SOW.

6/4 Contract officers observed suspicious persons gambling on the bike trail near the Lakeland Community.   A field interview was conducted and he was SOW.

6/4 Contract officer conducted a traffic assignment (Stop Sign Enforcement) at Saint Andrews Place at Duke Street.  4 citations were issued

6/5 Contract officers along with several beat officers responded to a large fight (over 150 persons) at the Clarion Inn located at 8601 Baltimore Ave.  Two persons were arrested by the Contract Officer and Beat Officer for disorderly conduct, and failure to obey a lawful order.

6/6 Contract officer responded to a call for service at 5100 block Knox Road for a burglar alarm.  Accidental by employee

6/6 Contract officer responded to a call for service at the Seven Eleven Store located at 4921 Edgewood Road for a group of disorderly males.  SOW

6/8 Contract officer observed a disorderly male urinating on vehicles in the 7200 block of Baltimore Ave.  The male was placed under arrest for Disorderly Conduct and Indecent Exposure.

6/8 Contract officer on routine patrol observed a suspicious person at Greenbelt Road at Rhode Island Ave.  A field interview was conducted and he was SOW.

6/9 Contract officers observed a disorderly (intoxicated) male yelling along the bike path near Rhode Island Ave at Quebec Street.  The male was issued a criminal summons for Disturbing the Peace.

6/10 Contract officer observed a fight in progress in the 7400 block of Baltimore Ave.  One intoxicated male was arrested for Failure to obey a lawful order, Disorderly Conduct, and Resisting Arrest.
